Learn From Working Engineers

Every batch at ShifttoTech Academy is taught by an engineer who ships for a living — not a full-time trainer reading from slides. Batches are capped at 10 so the person teaching the class is the person reviewing your code.

Firoz Ahmed — Senior AWS DevOps Engineer and instructor at ShifttoTech Academy

Firoz Ahmed

Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

TCS (Fortune 500) · 8+ Years Experience

Teaches the DevOps & Cloud track

A working DevOps engineer, not a full-time trainer. Firoz spends his days hands-on with multi-region AWS infrastructure — 38+ Java microservices on EKS, managed with Terraform, ArgoCD and Prometheus in production.

That matters because every concept in the course comes from a system that is actually running, with real failures, real cost pressure and real on-call. He leads the DevOps and Cloud track, and personally reviews student code in the small weekend batches.

Sayeed Amaan — AI Lead and instructor at ShifttoTech Academy

Sayeed Amaan

AI Lead

SophyXis Technologies · 4+ Years Experience

Teaches the AI & Generative AI track

Sayeed has spent 4+ years building intelligent systems with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch and advanced deep learning. His focus is NLP, computer vision and generative AI — the stack companies are actually hiring for in 2026.

He leads the AI and Generative AI track, teaching the parts that matter in production: retrieval, evaluation, fine-tuning and deployment, not just model theory. Classes are capped at 10 so he can review each student’s projects directly.

Why we teach in batches of 10

Code review doesn’t scale past about twenty students. In a batch of 10, the instructor sees your screen, catches mistakes in real time, and reviews the projects you’ll actually show in interviews. That’s the whole reason the format exists. See how it works on the DevOps and AI course pages, or book a free demo class.

How a session actually runs

Classes are live, not recorded playback. The instructor shares a terminal and builds the thing in front of you — a pipeline, a cluster, a retrieval setup — and you build it alongside on your own machine. When something breaks mid-session, that is usually the most useful twenty minutes of the class, because debugging in front of people is the part a pre-recorded course can never show you.

Recordings exist, but they are there to revise from rather than to replace the session. Because both instructors are working engineers, the examples tend to be whatever they have recently had to fix in production — real failures, real cost pressure, real on-call — rather than a tidy example that only works in a tutorial.

Questions about the instructors

One of the two engineers on this page, depending on the track. Firoz Ahmed takes the DevOps and Cloud batches; Sayeed Amaan takes the AI and Generative AI batches. There is no pool of rotating trainers and no teaching assistant standing in — the person listed here is the person in the session.

Yes, and that is the point of the format. Firoz is a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer at TCS with 8+ years in production. Sayeed is AI Lead at SophyXis Technologies with 4+ years building intelligent systems. Both teach alongside full-time engineering roles, so the examples come from systems that are currently running rather than from a slide deck.

Live. Every session is taught in real time, so you can interrupt, ask why something broke, and get an answer in the moment. Recordings are there to revise from, not to replace the class.

Yes. Batches are capped at 10 students specifically so the person teaching can review each student's code and projects directly. That cap is the constraint the whole format is built around — review stops being meaningful somewhere above twenty people in a room.

Yes. The free demo class is taught by the same instructor who takes the paid batch, so you can judge the teaching before committing. Book one from the contact page.

Firoz leads the DevOps Course and the AWS DevOps Course. Sayeed leads the AI Course, the Generative AI Course and the AI Engineer Course. Both tracks run live online in batches of 10 with placement support.
